The Village of Central Square is located in southern Oswego County. We are north of Syracuse, New York and only about 3 miles north of the outlet of Oneida Lake at the Oneida River. Central Square is easily accessible by car from the New York State Thruway and Interstate 81 at Exit 32. We are situated at the intersection of U.S. Route 11 and County Route 49. The village's estimated population is 1,848 and the average age is 39 years old according to the U. S. Census. Central Square is a great place for raising a family or relaxing through retirement.

We have the beauty of all four seasons. During the winter, snowmobiling is a popular activity. Summertime brings the free concert series at Goettel Park, and autumn provides the Apple Festival! Our community has a library, train museum, parks, a recreation program and plenty of small businesses in the center of the village, as well as larger chain stores on the outskirts of the village. We preserve and value our rich local history yet are still a progressive community.
