Directions to Central Square Village Offices
The Central Square Village Offices are located at New York State Route 49 in the town of Hastings between Interstate 81 on the east and U.S. Route 11 on the west; at 43º 17’ 04 N; 76º 08’ 12 W.

From the East (Constantia, Vienna and other points East):
Take New York State Route 49 heading west. Leaving West Monroe, you will intersect Interstate 81. The Central Square Village Offices will be on your left, approximately five-tenths (0.5) of a mile west of the west side of the Interstate interchange.

From the West (Hastings, downtown Central Square and other points West):
Take New York State Route 49 heading east. The Central Square Village Offices will be on your right, approximately five-tenths (0.5) of a mile east of U.S. 11.

From points South ( the Syracuse area, and south of NYS Route 49):
Take U.S. Interstate 81 north, and get off at the Central Square exit (Exit 32).
Take a left onto NYS Route 49 and proceed six-tenths (0.6) of a mile west.
The Central Square Village Offices will be on your left.

From points North (Parish, Pulaski, Watertown and other points nouth of NYS Route 49):
Take U.S. Interstate 81 south, and get off at the Central Square exit (Exit 32).
Take a right onto NYS Route 49 and proceed five-tenths (0.5) of a mile west.
The Central Square Village Offices will be on your left.

General Information:
The Village Clerk and Deputy Clerk are always available during office hours to answer questions and serve the needs of the residents.  You may call the clerk to be put on the agenda for a board meeting and as always board meetings are open to the public, we welcome your concerns and suggestions. 

The Village Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining custody of the Village seal, books, records and papers. The Village Clerk is the official clerk of the Board of Trustees and the Deputy Clerk is the official clerk for the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.  They are responsible for preparing agendas and maintaining an indexed compilation of minutes from the three Boards.  

The Office of the Village Clerk is the primary point of contact when telephoning or visiting the Village of Central Square’s Administrative Office.

The Clerk’s Office maintains a record of all local laws. The Village Clerk is responsible for responding to requests for access to public records. Pursuant to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Law, the Village charges $0.25 per page for copying of public records.

The Clerk is also authorized to administer the Oath of Office to village officers. 

Village Office Closed For Holidays:  The Village Employees are off on the following holidays and therefore our offices are closed: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday, Washington’s Birthday**, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. 

* This holiday is designated as "Washington's Birthday" in section 6103(a) of title 5 of the United States Code, which is the law that specifies holidays for Federal employees. Though other institutions such as state and local governments and private businesses may use other names, it is our policy to always refer to holidays by the names designated in the law.

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday will be taken on preceding Friday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday the Holiday will be taken on the following Monday.
