auxiliary

The Central Square Fire Company Auxiliary was organized on March 8, 1946 to assist the firefighters and victims of fires and other disasters.

The Auxiliary has two main purposes:

  • To make sure the victims of a fire have a place to stay and have the basic toiletries to get through the first night. Depending on circumstances monetary donation may be provided to help the families recover. The Auxiliary may initiate contact with organizations such as the Red Cross when additional assistance is needed.
  • To provide and serve food and beverage to the firefighters and the victims of disaster such as those caused by fire, ice storms, electric outages.
