Central Square Farmer’s Market

farmers fresh

The Central Square Farmers Market was begun in the summer of 2008 and chaired by Trustee Heather Stevens. The purpose of the Central Square Farmer’s Market is to provide consumers an opportunity to purchase locally grown quality produce from local gardeners and area farmers. In addition to the locally grown produce there are vendors of home made and locally produced arts and craft items.

The Village of Central Square sponsors the Farmer’s Market at Goettel Park located off of North Main Street/Rt 11 in the village of Central Square. With the rising cost of fuel, we have found that this is an opportunity for vendors to sell their products locally and for our community to have a convenient place to go to purchase quality local items.

The Farmer’s Market will be held every Wednesday evening beginning May 27, 2009 through September 16, 2009. For the months of July and August this will coincide with the concerts in the park series. Wednesday evenings will be the only vendor selling time on village property. We have done this to support the market and to have a known time and place for people to patronize. All vendors will be located inside the park in the designated area, must be registered prior to the market night and display the issued permit while selling. Our constables will be verifying permits each week. Fees for vendors will be $10.00 per week (Wednesday) for a 10x10 spot.

The hours for the Market will be 4:00 pm to dark (8 or 9pm). Set-up will begin at 3pm.

Farmer’s Market Rules and Regulations along with a registration form may be obtained from the Village Office at 3125 East Avenue Central Square, NY 13036-0509 Phone: 315-668-2558 Fax: 315-668-7037 or below under the document section.
