Brief History
Girl Scouting in Central Square was started by Captain Esther Landers and Lieutenant Carol LaTourneau in 1937.  In the 1960's troops were organized by neighborhoods, Central Square, Mallory, Ft. Brewerton, West Monroe and Hastings.  Now (2009) troops are part of the Lakeview Service Unit which goes along more with the school boundaries (Central Square, Brewerton, Hastings-Mallory, Constantia and Cleveland).
